As a teacher of history and then special education, my experience with teens has been astronomical. I couldn’t help but feel helpless for those students who couldn’t thrive. In an effort to help a student, I began to homeschool him and noticed the in-depth struggles kids go through within the community. It was then that I vowed to do more and became an in-home counselor. From there, I began trying to reach as many kids as possible with trainings and speeches everywhere they let me park. One thing I found is that if you give the kids the tools and show them how they work for their benefit, they then have no excuse for why they couldn’t implement them.
